Refreshing Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri

frozen strawberry daiquiri - featured image

A perfectly balanced frozen strawberry daiquiri featuring fresh strawberries, lime juice, white rum, and simple syrup, blended to a smooth, icy texture for a refreshing summer cocktail.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ยฝ cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • 3 oz (90 ml) white rum
  • 1 oz (30 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz (30 ml) simple syrup
  • 2 cups ice cubes (crushed ice preferred)
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by washing and hulling the fresh strawberries, then quarter them. Juice the lime to get about 1 oz (30 ml). Measure out the rum and simple syrup.
  2. Add the fresh strawberries, white rum, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes into a blender.
  3. Pulse the blender to break up the ice, then blend on high until the mixture is smooth and thick with a slushy texture and some visible strawberry bits.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness by adding more simple syrup, lime juice, water, or ice as needed, blending briefly after each adjustment.
  5. Pour the frozen strawberry daiquiri into chilled glasses immediately. Garnish with a fresh strawberry or a sprig of mint if desired and serve right away.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe but firm strawberries for best texture. Crushed ice yields a better frozen texture than whole cubes. Freeze strawberries for 30 minutes before blending to keep the drink colder longer. Pulse blender before continuous blending to avoid overheating and melting ice. Adjust sweetness with simple syrup or natural sweeteners like agave or stevia. Serve immediately for best texture.
