A quick and easy frozen strawberry margarita pitcher that blends fresh strawberries, tequila, lime, and simple ingredients for a perfect summer party drink. Fruity, smooth, and refreshing, it’s ideal for backyard BBQs, pool parties, or relaxed evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled (about 300 grams) or frozen strawberries
  • 1 ยฝ cups (360 ml) tequila blanco
  • ยพ cup (180 ml) fresh lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) triple sec or orange liqueur (Cointreau or Grand Marnier recommended)
  • ยฝ cup (120 ml) simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 4 cups (950 ml) ice cubes
  • Coarse salt (optional, for rimming glasses)
  • Optional garnishes: fresh strawberry slices, lime wheels, fresh mint sprigs

Instructions

  1. Rinse and hull about 2 cups (300 grams) of fresh strawberries. If using frozen, measure the same amount and keep frozen.
  2. Squeeze fresh lime juice until you have ยพ cup (180 ml). Strain to remove pulp if desired.
  3. In a high-powered blender, combine strawberries, 1 ยฝ cups (360 ml) tequila blanco, ยฝ cup (120 ml) triple sec, ยพ cup (180 ml) fresh lime juice, and ยฝ cup (120 ml) simple syrup. Pulse a few times to start breaking down the berries.
  4. Add about 4 cups (950 ml) of ice cubes to the blender. Blend on high until smooth and slushy, about 45 seconds to 1 minute. Stop and scrape down sides as needed.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or strength: add more simple syrup if too tart, or more ice/cold water if too strong.
  6. Rim glasses with lime juice and coarse salt if desired.
  7. Pour the margarita mix into glasses, garnish with strawberry slices or lime wheels, and serve immediately.
  8. Optional batch prep: blend all ingredients except ice and freeze in a shallow container. When ready to serve, blend with ice until slushy.

Notes

Use fresh strawberries and freshly squeezed lime juice for best flavor. Adjust simple syrup to balance sweetness and tartness. Avoid over-blending to prevent watery texture. For a spicy twist, rim glasses with chili lime salt or add jalapeรฑo slices to the blend. Leftovers can be frozen and re-blended with fresh ice before serving. This recipe is naturally gluten-free and dairy-free. For a non-alcoholic version, omit tequila and triple sec and replace with sparkling water and orange juice.
