Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz (60 ml) vodka (smooth, good-quality like Titoโ€™s or Absolut)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) sour apple schnapps (e.g., DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker)
  • 2 oz (60 ml) fresh green apple juice (freshly pressed or high-quality bottled without added sugar)
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 0.25 oz (7 ml) simple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes (for shaking and serving)
  • Green apple slice (for garnish)
  • Optional: A dash of sparkling water or club soda for a fizzy finish

Instructions

  1. Chill your martini glass by placing it in the freezer for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare fresh lemon juice by cutting a lemon in half and squeezing out 0.5 oz (15 ml) using a citrus juicer; strain out any seeds.
  3. Fill the cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  4. Add 2 oz (60 ml) vodka to the shaker over the ice.
  5. Pour in 1 oz (30 ml) sour apple schnapps.
  6. Add 2 oz (60 ml) green apple juice.
  7. Add 0.5 oz (15 ml) lemon juice and 0.25 oz (7 ml) simple syrup if desired.
  8. Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  9. Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass using a strainer to avoid ice shards.
  10. Garnish with a thin slice of green apple on the rim.
  11. Optional: Add a splash of sparkling water or club soda just before serving for a fizzy touch.

Notes

Use fresh lemon and apple juice for best flavor. Chill the glass and ingredients to maintain crispness. Shake vigorously with plenty of ice to avoid dilution. Adjust simple syrup to taste to balance sweetness. Clear ice is preferred to slow melting. For a lower alcohol version, reduce vodka to 1 oz and increase apple juice to 3 oz. Optional sparkling water adds a fizzy finish.
