A cool, creamy, and energizing iced matcha latte made with high-quality matcha powder and unsweetened oat milk, perfect for summer and dairy-free diets.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon (about 2 grams) high-quality ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) hot water (about 175ยฐF / 80ยฐC)
  • 6 ounces (180 ml) cold unsweetened oat milk
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons maple syrup or preferred sweetener (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Measure 1 teaspoon (about 2 grams) of high-quality matcha powder into a mixing bowl. Sift the powder if desired to avoid lumps.
  2. Pour 2 ounces (60 ml) of hot water heated to around 175ยฐF (80ยฐC) over the matcha powder.
  3. Whisk vigorously using a bamboo whisk or frother in a zig-zag motion until frothy and lump-free, about 30 seconds.
  4. If desired, stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons of maple syrup or your preferred sweetener to taste.
  5. Fill a tall glass generously with ice cubes.
  6. Pour the whisked matcha mixture over the ice.
  7. Slowly pour 6 ounces (180 ml) of cold unsweetened oat milk over the matcha and ice. Stir gently to combine or leave layered for an ombre effect.
  8. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.

Notes

Use ceremonial grade matcha powder for best flavor and vibrant color. Avoid boiling water to prevent bitterness. Sift matcha powder to avoid clumps. Shake oat milk before pouring for creamier texture. Sweetener is optional and can be adjusted to taste. Matcha paste can be prepared ahead and refrigerated up to 24 hours.
