A bright, cheerful, and green punch perfect for St. Patrickโ€™s Day or spring gatherings, featuring a creamy lime sherbet float that adds a fun and indulgent twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups lemon-lime soda (chilled) – Sprite or 7-Up recommended
  • 2 cups pineapple juice (chilled)
  • 1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed or store-bought, chilled)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • Green food coloring (optional, 2-3 drops)
  • 1 quart lime sherbet
  • Optional garnishes: fresh mint leaves, lime slices, edible gold stars

Instructions

  1. Chill lemon-lime soda, pineapple juice, and orange juice for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine 4 cups lemon-lime soda, 2 cups pineapple juice, 1 cup orange juice, and 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice.
  3. Add 2-3 drops of green food coloring if desired and stir gently until evenly mixed.
  4. Using an ice cream scoop or spoon, scoop 8-10 small balls or dollops of lime sherbet and place them on top of the punch.
  5. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or lime slices around the edges.
  6. Serve in clear glasses with a scoop or two of sherbet in each glass.

Notes

Chill all liquid ingredients well before mixing to keep punch cool without diluting. Add sherbet floats just before serving to maintain their shape and creamy texture. Avoid ice cubes to prevent dilution. Food coloring is optional for a vibrant green color. For a dairy-free version, substitute lime sherbet with coconut or mango sorbet.
