A bright, bubbly, and alcohol-free mocktail inspired by the classic Aperol Spritz, featuring fresh citrus juices, pomegranate, non-alcoholic bitters, and sparkling water for a festive and refreshing drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces fresh orange juice (about 60 ml)
  • 1 ounce pomegranate juice (about 30 ml), 100% juice with no added sugar
  • 2 dashes non-alcoholic bitters (about 4 ml)
  • 3 to 4 ounces sparkling water (90120 ml), plain or lightly flavored
  • 0.5 ounce simple syrup (about 15 ml), optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Orange slice or twist for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves, optional

Instructions

  1. Chill your glass in the fridge or freezer for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Squeeze about 2 ounces (60 ml) of fresh orange juice and strain if desired.
  3. In a mixing glass, combine orange juice, 1 ounce (30 ml) pomegranate juice, and 0.5 ounce (15 ml) simple syrup if using. Stir gently to blend.
  4. Add 2 dashes (about 4 ml) of non-alcoholic bitters and stir gently once more.
  5. Fill the chilled glass about 3/4 full with large ice cubes.
  6. Slowly pour 3 to 4 ounces (90-120 ml) of sparkling water over the back of a spoon into the glass to preserve bubbles.
  7. Gently stir once to combine all flavors.
  8. Garnish with a fresh orange slice and a sprig of mint.
  9. Serve immediately to enjoy the sparkle.

Notes

Use fresh citrus juice for best flavor. Pour sparkling water gently over the back of a spoon to preserve bubbles. Large ice cubes melt slower and keep the drink chilled without diluting quickly. Non-alcoholic bitters add essential aromatic complexity; if unavailable, try a few drops of orange blossom water. Garnish releases oils and aromas that enhance the experience. Adjust simple syrup to taste to balance tartness.
