Refreshing Paloma - featured image

A quick and easy tequila cocktail featuring fresh grapefruit and lime juices, agave syrup, and a hint of salt, topped with club soda for a refreshing summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Tequila Blanco
  • 3 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
  • 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 0.5 oz Agave Syrup
  • Pinch of Sea Salt
  • 23 oz Club Soda or Sparkling Water
  • Ice Cubes
  • Grapefruit Wedges or Twists for garnish
  • Optional: Tajรญn or Salt Rim

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glass: Rub a grapefruit wedge around the rim of a highball glass, then dip it into salt or Tajรญn if desired. Set aside.
  2. Juice the citrus: Squeeze about 3 oz fresh grapefruit juice and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice into a mixing glass or shaker, avoiding seeds.
  3. Add sweetener and salt: Pour in 0.5 oz agave syrup and a pinch of sea salt.
  4. Measure and add tequila: Add 2 oz tequila blanco to the mixture.
  5. Mix it up: Add ice to the mixing glass or shaker and stir gently with a bar spoon to preserve the soda fizz.
  6. Pour and top: Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice. Top with 2-3 oz club soda or sparkling water.
  7. Garnish: Add a grapefruit wedge or twist on the rim for aroma and presentation.

Notes

Use fresh grapefruit juice for best flavor. Adjust sweetness with agave syrup to taste. Avoid shaking to preserve soda fizz. Large ice cubes melt slower and keep the drink cold longer. Optional salted rim enhances flavor contrast.
