  • 2 large ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
  • ยฝ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups water (1 liter)
  • 1 cup bourbon (240 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh peach slices and mint sprigs (optional, for garnish)

  2. Remove tea bags and stir in ยฝ cup granulated sugar while tea is still warm to create a simple sweet tea base. Let cool to room temperature.
  3. Peel and slice 2 large ripe peaches. Add to a blender with 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice and blend until smooth. Optionally strain through a fine mesh sieve for a silky texture.
  4. Pour cooled sweet tea into a large pitcher. Stir in the peach puree until well mixed. Adjust sweetness or lemon juice if needed.

  6. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the peach sweet tea bourbon cocktail over the ice.
  7. Garnish with fresh peach slices and mint sprigs if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for best flavor. Strain peach puree for a smoother texture. Adjust bourbon amount to taste to avoid overpowering the tea. Chill tea and puree before mixing with bourbon to keep drink crisp. Can substitute bourbon with smoky mezcal or spiced rum. For lower sugar, reduce sugar or use natural sweeteners like honey or stevia. Prepare tea and puree ahead and add bourbon and ice just before serving.
