A light, bubbly cocktail combining fresh pink grapefruit juice with floral rose syrup and sparkling water, perfect for warm afternoons or unwinding after a long day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz (120 ml) freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz (30 ml) rose syrup
  • 4 oz (120 ml) sparkling water or club soda
  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) vodka or gin (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh pink grapefruit slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh rose petals (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Juice the grapefruits using a citrus juicer to extract about 4 oz (120 ml) of fresh juice. Strain if desired to remove pulp and seeds.
  2. Fill your chosen glass with ice cubes to chill it.
  3. In a mixing glass or shaker, combine the pink grapefruit juice, rose syrup, and if using, vodka or gin. Stir gently to blend without losing fizz.
  4. Pour the mixture over the ice in the chilled glass. Slowly top with sparkling water or club soda to maintain bubbles.
  5. Garnish with a thin slice of pink grapefruit on the rim or floated on top, and optionally add fresh rose petals.

Notes

Use freshly squeezed grapefruit juice for best flavor. Chill the glass beforehand to keep bubbles lively. Pour sparkling water slowly over a spoon to preserve fizz. Avoid stirring vigorously after adding sparkling water to prevent flattening.
