A light, bubbly cocktail featuring fresh pomegranate seeds, mixed berries, and sparkling water, perfect for summer parties and easy to customize as alcoholic or non-alcoholic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup fresh pomegranate seeds
  • 1 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice (fresh or bottled, unsweetened)
  • 2 cups sparkling water or club soda (chilled)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup vodka or gin (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the mixed berries and pomegranate seeds under cold water. Pat dry gently with paper towels.
  2. In a pitcher, add the pomegranate seeds and half of the mixed berries. Using a muddler or wooden spoon, gently press to release the juices without pulverizing.
  3. Pour in the pomegranate juice, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup (if using). Stir gently to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as needed.
  4. Place the pitcher in the fridge for about 15-20 minutes to chill and let flavors meld. Alternatively, add a few ice cubes if in a hurry.
  5. Just before serving, pour the chilled sparkling water or club soda into the pitcher. Stir gently to mix without losing bubbles.
  6. If desired, stir in vodka or gin for an alcoholic version.
  7. Fill glasses with ice (optional), pour the sparkler, and garnish with remaining berries and fresh mint leaves.

Notes

Do not over-muddle the berries to avoid a cloudy drink. Add sparkling water last to preserve fizz. For a non-alcoholic version, omit vodka or gin. Adjust simple syrup to taste for sweetness. Prepare juice base up to 24 hours ahead but add sparkling water and garnish just before serving.
