A visually stunning and delicious layered berry lemonade punch perfect for summer parties, featuring fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and blueberries with optional sparkling water for fizz.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for red berry layer)
  • 1/4 cup water (for red berry layer)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup simple syrup
  • 3 cups cold water (for lemonade layer)
  • 1.5 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (for blue berry layer)
  • 1/4 cup water (for blue berry layer)
  • Optional: 1-2 cups sparkling water or club soda
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves
  • Optional: lemon slices or whole berries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the Red Berry Layer: Combine sliced strawberries, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 1/4 cup water in a blender. Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds if desired. Chill for 15 minutes. (Optional: macerate strawberries with sugar for 10 minutes before blending to enhance sweetness.)
  2. Prepare the White Lemonade Layer: In a large pitcher, mix freshly squeezed lemon juice, simple syrup, and cold water. Stir well and adjust sweetness if needed. Chill in the fridge while preparing other layers. (If adding fizz, add sparkling water just before serving.)
  3. Create the Blue Berry Layer: Blend blueberries with 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 cup water until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds. Chill until ready to use.
  4. Layer the Punch: In a clear pitcher, gently pour the red strawberry layer first using a ladle or the back of a spoon to prevent mixing. Add a few ice cubes if desired.
  5. Slowly pour the white lemonade layer over the back of a spoon onto the red layer to keep layers separate.
  6. Finally, layer the blue blueberry mixture on top, pouring gently over the back of a spoon. Garnish with fresh berries and lemon slices.
  7. Serve immediately for best visual effect. Guests can stir layers or sip as is.

Notes

Pour each layer slowly over the back of a spoon and use chilled liquids to keep layers separate. Macerate strawberries with sugar before blending to enhance sweetness. Add sparkling water just before serving for fizz. Serve within an hour for best visual effect. Freeze berries into ice cubes to keep punch cold without dilution.
