Refreshing Red White and Blue Sangria - featured image

A vibrant and festive sangria featuring fresh strawberries, white grapes, and blueberries in a crisp dry white wine base with a splash of lemon-lime soda for a bubbly finish. Perfect for summer celebrations and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio recommended)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) brandy or orange liqueur (optional)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) lemon-lime soda or sparkling water
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup seedless white grapes, halved
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Rinse all berries, grapes, and citrus well. Hull and slice the strawberries, halve the grapes, and thinly slice the lemon and lime.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the strawberries, grapes, blueberries, lemon, and lime slices.
  3. Pour in the dry white wine and brandy or orange liqueur if using. Stir gently to mix.
  4. Taste the mixture and stir in honey or simple syrup if a sweeter sangria is desired.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Just before serving, add the lemon-lime soda or sparkling water and stir gently to maintain fizz.
  7. Serve over ice, including some of the fruit in each glass.

Notes

Choose a crisp, dry white wine to balance the fruit sweetness. Avoid over-muddling fruit to prevent bitterness. Chill at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor. Add soda just before serving to keep fizz. Frozen berries can be used if thawed first. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute wine and brandy with sparkling white grape juice.
