Refreshing Rose Petal Strawberry Spritz Cocktail - featured image

A light, bright, and refreshing cocktail combining fresh strawberries, edible rose petals, and sparkling rosรฉ, perfect for summer and easy to make in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 medium fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • A small handful of fresh edible rose petals
  • 6 oz (180 ml) sparkling rosรฉ (dry to semi-dry)
  • 1 tsp pure rose water
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup (or honey/agave as substitute)
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Rinse the strawberries and edible rose petals gently under cold water. Hull and slice the strawberries into thin pieces. Set aside a few whole petals for garnish.
  2. In a mixing glass, combine the sliced strawberries and a small handful of rose petals. Using a muddler or wooden spoon, gently press the ingredients just enough to release their juices and aroma. Avoid over-mashing.
  3. Pour in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of rose water, and 1 tablespoon of simple syrup. Stir gently to blend the flavors.
  4. Fill your serving glass halfway with ice cubes. Strain the muddled mixture over the ice (or pour it all in if you like the texture). Slowly top with 6 ounces (180 ml) of sparkling rosรฉ to maintain the bubbles.
  5. Add a few whole fresh strawberry slices and rose petals on top as a garnish. Optionally, add a lemon twist or a sprig of fresh mint.
  6. Serve immediately while the bubbles are lively and the flavors are bright.

Notes

Do not over-muddle to avoid bitterness. Chill glasses before serving for best experience. Adjust rose water carefully as it is potent. Use fresh ingredients for best flavor. For a smoother cocktail, strain the muddled mixture before adding sparkling rosรฉ.
