A quick and easy single serve frozen mango margarita that is perfect for summer, combining sweet mango, tangy lime, and smooth tequila for a refreshing tropical drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (150g) frozen mango chunks (unsweetened recommended)
  • 2 oz (60 ml) tequila blanco
  • 1 oz (30 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz (30 ml) orange liqueur (triple sec or Cointreau)
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) ice cubes
  • Salt for rimming glass (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip it into a shallow plate of coarse salt. Set aside.
  2. Measure out frozen mango chunks, tequila blanco, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, simple syrup, and ice cubes.
  3. Place frozen mango chunks and ice cubes into the blender first. Add tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup.
  4. Start blending on low speed to break up mango and ice, then increase to high speed. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 30-45 seconds. Adjust consistency with a splash of cold water or lime juice if too thick, or add more ice cubes if too thin.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more simple syrup or lime juice as needed.
  6. Pour into the prepared glass and garnish with a lime wheel or mango slice if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use unsweetened frozen mango for best flavor. Adjust simple syrup to balance sweetness depending on mango sweetness. For a thicker frozen cocktail, add extra ice cubes or frozen pineapple chunks. Fresh lime juice is essential for bright acidity. If blender leaves chunks, stop and scrape sides before blending again. For a smoky twist, substitute tequila with mezcal. To rim glass properly, let salt dry slightly before pouring margarita.
