A light, floral, and citrusy sparkling spritz combining elderflower cordial, fresh lemon juice, and Prosecco for a perfect summer drink that’s quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 750 ml Prosecco (dry or extra dry)
  • 23 oz (6090 ml) elderflower cordial
  • 23 fresh lemons (for juice and garnish)
  • 4 oz (120 ml) club soda or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes (preferably large)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill the Prosecco and glasses in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  2. Roll the lemons on the counter, cut in half, and juice about 1 oz (30 ml) lemon juice per serving, straining seeds if needed.
  3. Pour 2 oz (60 ml) elderflower cordial into each glass, adjusting sweetness to taste.
  4. Fill each glass halfway with large ice cubes.
  5. Gently pour 4 oz (120 ml) Prosecco over the ice, pouring slowly down the side to preserve bubbles.
  6. Top each glass with 2 oz (60 ml) club soda or sparkling water.
  7. Stir gently with a spoon to mix without flattening bubbles.
  8. Garnish with a thin lemon wheel and a sprig of fresh mint if desired, then serve immediately.

Notes

Chill Prosecco and glasses well to keep bubbles lively. Pour Prosecco slowly down the side of the glass to preserve carbonation. Use large ice cubes to slow dilution. Adjust elderflower cordial sweetness to taste. Fresh lemon juice is preferred over bottled for best flavor. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute Prosecco with sparkling white grape juice or non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
