strawberry daiquiri pitcher recipe - featured image

A simple and vibrant homemade summer cocktail made with fresh strawberries, lime juice, rum, and simple syrup, perfect for sharing at parties or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup (240 ml) white rum
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) simple syrup
  • 3 cups crushed ice
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Hull and halve about 2 cups (about 300 grams) of fresh strawberries.
  2. Juice enough limes to get 1/2 cup (120 ml) of fresh lime juice.
  3. Place the strawberries in a blender and pulse until smooth but still slightly textured, about 20-30 seconds.
  4. Add 1 cup (240 ml) white rum, 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh lime juice, and 1/2 cup (120 ml) simple syrup to the blender and blend for 10 seconds to combine.
  5. Add about 3 cups (450 grams) of crushed ice to the blender and pulse in short bursts until the mixture is slushy, about 30 seconds.
  6. Pour the blended mixture into a pitcher. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more simple syrup or lime juice.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and serve immediately in chilled glasses. Optionally, rim glasses with sugar and lime zest before pouring.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor; pulse ice in short bursts to avoid watery texture; adjust sweetness last to taste; chill glasses before serving; frozen strawberries can be used with slight adjustments to ice quantity; prepare base ahead without ice and add ice before serving.
