Refreshing Strawberry Fields Prosecco Cocktail - featured image

A light, fizzy, and sweet cocktail combining fresh strawberries and prosecco, perfect for sunny days and easy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (150 grams) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) chilled prosecco
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 12 teaspoons (510 ml) simple syrup (optional)
  • A few sprigs fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash, hull, and slice about 1 cup (150 grams) of fresh strawberries. Set aside a few slices for garnish.
  2. In a small pitcher, combine 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of fresh lemon juice with 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) of simple syrup. Adjust sweetness to taste and stir gently.
  3. Add a few strawberry slices and a couple of fresh mint leaves to each glass. Gently muddle them with a spoon or muddler if desired, but avoid turning into pulp.
  4. Optionally, fill each glass about halfway with ice cubes to keep the cocktail chilled without diluting it too quickly.
  5. Divide the lemon juice and syrup mixture evenly among the glasses.
  6. Slowly pour chilled prosecco into each glass, filling it up. Pour gently to keep the bubbles lively and prevent overflow.
  7. Garnish with remaining strawberry slices and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately.

Notes

Keep prosecco chilled until the last moment for best fizz. Pour prosecco slowly down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles. Adjust simple syrup based on strawberry sweetness. Fresh strawberries are preferred over frozen for best flavor. For a lower-alcohol version, replace half the prosecco with sparkling water or lemon soda. Prepare the lemon-syrup mixture ahead but add prosecco just before serving.
