A quick and easy summer cocktail combining fresh strawberries, vodka, lemonade, and mint for a refreshing and flavorful drink perfect for parties and warm evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) vodka
  • 1 cup (240 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) simple syrup
  • 2 cups (480 ml) cold water or sparkling water
  • 1520 fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced strawberries and fresh mint leaves into a large pitcher.
  2. Gently muddle the strawberries and mint leaves for 1-2 minutes to release juices and aroma without pulverizing.
  3. Add 1 cup (240 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice and 3/4 cup (180 ml) simple syrup to the pitcher and stir gently.
  4. Pour in 1 cup (240 ml) vodka and stir gently to combine.
  5. Add 2 cups (480 ml) cold water or sparkling water and stir again.
  6. Fill the pitcher with plenty of ice cubes to chill and slightly dilute the drink.
  7. Garnish with lemon slices and a sprig of fresh mint.
  8. Serve poured over ice in tall glasses.
  9. Optional: Let the mixture sit in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Do not over-muddle the mint to avoid bitterness. Adjust sweetness by tasting before serving. For a lighter drink, reduce vodka and add more sparkling water. Frozen strawberries can be used if fresh are unavailable. Prepare ahead by mixing all except ice and sparkling water, refrigerate up to 24 hours, then add ice and sparkling water before serving.
