A vibrant and refreshing summer drink combining fresh strawberries, lemon juice, vodka, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for backyard barbecues, pool parties, or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 56 lemons)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (can substitute with honey or agave syrup)
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups vodka (recommend Titoโ€™s or Smirnoff)
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Sliced lemons and strawberries (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberry puree: In a blender, combine 1 1/2 cups of hulled strawberries with 1/4 cup of water. Blend until smooth and vibrant pink. Set aside.
  2. Make the lemonade base: In a large pitcher, combine 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice and 3/4 cup granulated sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Add 3 cups cold water and the strawberry puree to the pitcher. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Mix in 1 1/2 cups vodka and stir. Taste and adjust with extra water or lemon juice if needed.
  5. Slice remaining 1/2 cup strawberries and 1-2 lemons into thin rounds. Add to the pitcher along with fresh mint leaves if using.
  6. Add plenty of ice cubes or refrigerate the pitcher for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use ripe, fragrant strawberries for best flavor. Fresh lemon juice is essential for brightness. Dissolve sugar in warm water if in a hurry. Chill the pitcher for at least 30 minutes before serving. Freeze strawberries to use as ice cubes to avoid dilution. Adjust sweetness and alcohol strength to taste.
