A quick and easy non-alcoholic mojito featuring fresh strawberries, mint, lime, and sparkling water for a vibrant and refreshing summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves, gently bruised
  • 1 large lime, juiced, plus wedges for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) sparkling water, chilled
  • Ice cubes, plenty to fill the glass
  • Optional: extra mint sprigs for garnish
  • Optional: strawberry slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them roughly. Rinse fresh mint leaves gently. Juice the lime and set aside wedges for garnish.
  2. In a glass, add the sliced strawberries and mint leaves. Using a muddler or wooden spoon, press down gently about 8-10 times to release juices and aroma without turning into a puree.
  3. Pour in the freshly squeezed lime juice and simple syrup. Stir well to mix and dissolve the syrup fully. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime if needed.
  4. Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top.
  5. Gently pour chilled sparkling water over the ice, filling the glass. Stir lightly to combine without flattening the bubbles.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a wedge of lime on the rim. Optionally, add a strawberry slice in the glass. Serve immediately.

Notes

Do not over-muddle the mint to avoid bitterness. Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Adjust sweetness to taste. Keep sparkling water chilled and pour gently to maintain bubbles. Prepare the strawberry-mint base up to 2 hours ahead and add ice and sparkling water just before serving. Frozen strawberries should be thawed slightly before use.
