A quick and easy summer drink combining fresh watermelon and delicate rose water for a refreshing, floral twist perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups watermelon cubes, seeds removed (fresh and ripe)
  • 2 teaspoons rose water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 12 tablespoons honey or agave syrup, adjusted to taste
  • 2 cups cold water or sparkling water
  • A small handful of roughly chopped fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Ice cubes, as needed for serving

Instructions

  1. Cut about 4 cups (about 600g) of fresh watermelon into cubes, removing seeds.
  2. Place the watermelon cubes in a blender and pulse until smooth and juicy, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Optional: Pour the blended watermelon through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher to remove pulp.
  4. Stir in 2 teaspoons of rose water and 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice.
  5. Add 1-2 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup, stirring well until dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  6. Pour in 2 cups (480ml) of cold water or sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
  7. Add a handful of roughly chopped fresh mint leaves and plenty of ice cubes. Stir again to chill and infuse flavor.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with a sprig of mint or a thin watermelon slice if desired.

Notes

Use ripe watermelon for maximum sweetness. Adjust rose water carefully to avoid overpowering flavor. Straining is optional depending on texture preference. Chill ingredients and glasses for extra refreshment. A pinch of salt can enhance flavors if needed.
