A quick and easy frozen rosé slushie with fresh strawberries and lemon juice, perfect for cooling down on a sunny day or at gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 750 ml dry rosé wine (light and fruity, e.g., Whispering Angel or Miraval)
  • 2 cups strawberries (fresh hulled and sliced or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, adjustable or substitute with honey/agave)
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • Optional garnishes: fresh mint leaves, strawberry slices, lemon wheels

Instructions

  1. Freeze the entire 750 ml bottle of rosé in a shallow freezer-safe container for at least 6 hours or overnight until solid.
  2. Prepare simple syrup if not using pre-made: combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water in a saucepan over medium heat, stir until sugar dissolves, then cool.
  3. Hull and slice fresh strawberries if using fresh. Juice lemons to get 2 tablespoons of fresh juice.
  4. Break frozen rosé into chunks and add to a high-speed blender with strawberries, lemon juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes.
  5. Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth and slushy with a thick but scoopable texture.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or texture by adding more simple syrup, rosé, or lemon juice as needed and blend briefly again.
  7. Serve immediately in chilled glasses and garnish with mint, strawberry slices, or lemon wheels.

Notes

Freeze rosé in a shallow container for faster freezing and easier blending. Use frozen strawberries for thicker texture. Adjust sweetness gradually. Clean blender immediately after use. Serve immediately to maintain icy texture. Leftovers can be stored in freezer but best fresh.
