A warm and cozy drink that combines sweet caramel, tangy apple cider, and a touch of sea salt, perfect for chilly evenings or festive fall gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (1 liter) apple cider
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) caramel sauce
  • A pinch of fine sea salt
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Caramel drizzle (optional, for garnish)
  • Ground cinnamon (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, pour 4 cups (1 liter) of apple cider and set it over medium heat.
  2. Add 2 cinnamon sticks and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional) to the cider.
  3. Stir in 1/4 cup (60 ml) of caramel sauce until itโ€™s fully dissolved. Use a whisk for a smooth blend.
  4. Let the mixture heat gently for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not boilโ€”it should be warm and fragrant.
  5. Once heated, remove the saucepan from the stove and add a pinch of sea salt, stirring to combine.
  6. Carefully ladle the cider into mugs. Top each serving with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.

Notes

[‘Donโ€™t boil the cider to avoid separating the caramel and losing the spice flavor.’, ‘Use high-quality caramel sauce for a richer flavor.’, ‘Taste and adjust sweetness or saltiness to your preference.’, ‘Garnish generously with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and cinnamon for added flavor and texture.’, ‘Prepare the cider base in advance and keep it warm in a slow cooker for gatherings.’]
