This Salted Caramel Espresso Martini is a creamy, sweet, and salty twist on the classic espresso martini, blending fresh espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur, and real caramel sauce for a showstopping boozy coffee drink. It’s quick, easy, and perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself to a luxurious cocktail at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 oz freshly brewed espresso (or strong coffee concentrate)
  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1 oz Kahlรบa or coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz salted caramel sauce (pourable, not too thick)
  • Pinch flaky sea salt (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes (for shaking)
  • Optional: 2โ€“3 espresso beans (for garnish)
  • Optional: Extra caramel sauce (for drizzling glass)

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 oz of fresh espresso using an espresso machine or moka pot. Let it cool for about 1 minute.
  2. Optional: Drizzle caramel sauce around the inside of a martini glass and place the glass in the freezer to chill.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add vodka, coffee liqueur, salted caramel sauce, and cooled espresso.
  4. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 20โ€“30 seconds until well chilled and frothy.
  5. Strain the cocktail into the chilled martini glass, aiming for a thick, creamy foam on top.
  6. Sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt over the foam. Garnish with espresso beans and an extra drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.
  7. Serve immediately while cold and frothy.

Notes

For best results, use freshly brewed espresso and shake vigorously for a thick foam. Adjust caramel sauce to taste for sweetness. Use vegan caramel sauce and coffee liqueur for a dairy-free/vegan version. Chill your glassware for an extra cold martini. If making ahead, mix all but the espresso and ice, then shake with fresh espresso and ice before serving.
