A cozy drink that combines the classic flavors of snickerdoodle cookies with rich, creamy hot chocolate. Perfect for chilly evenings or sharing with friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Ground nutmeg (optional)
  • Cinnamon sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of whole milk and 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Heat over medium heat until just simmering, stirring occasionally. Avoid boiling.
  2. Whisk in 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 3 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir gently to incorporate.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness, adding more sugar if desired.
  5. Once the hot chocolate is creamy and warm, remove from heat.
  6. Pour into your favorite mug and top with whipped cream.
  7. Sprinkle ground cinnamon and cinnamon sugar on top for that signature snickerdoodle finish. Add a pinch of nutmeg if you like.
