A vibrant and celebratory cocktail combining fresh strawberry puree, orange juice, and champagne, perfect for brunch gatherings or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 bottle champagne or sparkling wine, chilled
  • 12 teaspoons granulated sugar (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place 1 cup of fresh, hulled strawberries into a blender and blend until smooth. If you prefer a seed-free puree, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing gently to extract the liquid.
  2. Taste the strawberry puree. If your strawberries are a bit tart, stir in 1-2 teaspoons of granulated sugar until dissolved.
  3. Refrigerate the puree for about 15 minutes or add a few ice cubes to keep it cold.
  4. In a champagne flute, add about 2 tablespoons of the strawberry puree. Slowly pour in 1/4 cup of orange juice, followed by topping it off with chilled champagne. Pour the champagne gently to preserve the bubbles.
  5. Add a fresh strawberry slice or mint leaf to the rim of the glass for a touch of elegance. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

[‘Use ripe strawberries for natural sweetness.’, ‘Ensure champagne and orange juice are thoroughly chilled.’, ‘Prepare the strawberry puree ahead of time and store in the fridge for up to 24 hours.’, ‘Experiment with other fruits like raspberries or peaches for variations.’]
