A quick and refreshing whiskey cola slushie perfect for warm days, combining the smooth warmth of whiskey with the fizzy sweetness of cola in an icy, slushy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz (120 ml) whiskey (smooth, medium-bodied like Jameson or Bulleit Bourbon)
  • 12 oz (360 ml) cola (classic Coca-Cola recommended)
  • 3 cups (about 450 g) ice cubes (crushed ice preferred)
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) simple syrup (optional, adjust sweetness)
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Measure out 4 oz (120 ml) whiskey and 12 oz (360 ml) cola. Squeeze about 1 tbsp (15 ml) fresh lime juice.
  2. Place 3 cups (about 450 g) of ice cubes into your blender. Crushed ice works best if possible.
  3. Pour the whiskey, cola, and lime juice over the ice. Add 1 tsp (5 ml) simple syrup if you want it sweeter.
  4. Pulse the blender in short bursts to break up the ice, then blend continuously until thick and slushy but not watery.
  5. Taste and adjust: add more cola if too strong, more lime juice if too sweet. Blend briefly again if needed.
  6. Pour into chilled glasses or mason jars and garnish with a lime wedge. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Chill glasses ahead to keep the slushie colder longer. If slushie melts too fast, freeze for 10 minutes and stir before serving. Avoid overblending to prevent watery texture.
